When you use our website purely for information, we automatically collect the data your browser transmits to our server (server log files). This is technically necessary in order to display our website to you in a stable, secure and functioning way. It includes:

• the IP address of the requesting device
• the date and time of the request
• the name and URL of the file requested
• the website from which the access originates (referrer URL)
• the browser used and, where applicable, your computer's operating system

When you place a termination order through our platform, we process the data strictly necessary to create, handle and send the termination letter:

• Your personal data: first name, last name, address (street, number, postcode, town, country).
• Contract data held by the third-party provider: customer number, contract number, membership number or other identifiers the provider requires in order to match the termination to your account.
• Content of the termination: the termination letter you completed and the date on which you wish to terminate.
• Dispatch data: we transmit this data to our technical dispatch partners (such as the ePost interface of Swiss Post) in order to deliver the physical registered letter or the digital dispatch on sound legal footing and to provide you with the delivery record.

If you register for our free members' area (the “subscription board”), we process the login details you enter (email address, password) and the contract and deadline data you store there.

We use this data exclusively to provide you with the contractually agreed service (including the automated termination reminder by email). You can delete or adjust your profile and the contracts stored in the subscription board yourself at any time.

For handling the paid termination services we use certified external payment service providers (TWINT, credit card providers and the like).

Kündigen24 itself stores no complete credit card details or sensitive banking data on its own servers. You enter your payment data directly in the encrypted system of the payment service provider concerned, which processes your data in accordance with the strict security standards of the credit card industry (PCI-DSS).

In order to improve our website continuously and to run advertising campaigns efficiently, we use cookies and selected tracking technologies:

• Signing in: so that you stay signed in, we set a technically necessary cookie in your browser. It contains only a session identifier and no personal data. It is deleted from that device when you sign out through the menu in the header.
• Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager: these services help us understand how visitors interact with our website. IP addresses are anonymised before analysis.
• Google Ads and Performance Max (pMax): we use Google's advertising programmes to reach potential customers. To measure the success of our ads (conversion tracking), a cookie is set when you reach our website from a Google ad.
• Your control: you can manage the setting of cookies through our cookie consent banner (Consent Mode V2), or disable the storing of cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Your personal data is disclosed to third parties only for the purposes named in this policy:

• to our technical dispatch partners (for example ePost / Swiss Post) for the delivery of your termination letter;
• to the third-party provider to which the termination is addressed;
• to the hosting providers and IT support contractors we engage (under strict data processing agreements);
• to law enforcement or supervisory authorities, where we are legally obliged to do so.

Your data is neither sold nor transferred without authorisation to unrelated advertising networks.

We use state-of-the-art technical and organisational security measures (such as end-to-end SSL/TLS encryption of our website) in order to protect your data as well as possible against accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons.

We store your personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil our contractual and statutory obligations, or for as long as the statutory retention periods require (in Switzerland as a rule 10 years under the Ordinance on the Keeping and Preservation of Business Records). Once those periods expire, the data is deleted as a matter of routine.

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) you have the right at any time:

• to request access to the personal data we hold about you;
• to demand the rectification of incorrect or incomplete data;
• to demand the erasure of the data we hold (provided no statutory retention obligation stands in the way);
• to object to the processing of your data.
